What do you love most about being a pediatric dentist?
The best part of my job is being able to educate the parents, children, other medical professionals and are own residents about pediatric dentistry and oral health.
What do you love most about being a part of Pediatric Dental Associates?
The best part of PDA is we welcome any patient and we are able to treat any patient from birth into young adulthood. We have access to many great facilities, tools and means to treat our patients. The availability of nitrous oxide or conscious sedation in select cases to avoid treatment under general anesthesia is a huge benefit we offer over many practices.
How do you approach pediatric dentistry?
You have to be a good listener and patient. Kids can tell you a lot through what they say and don’t say. I try to make each child engaged in their office visit and feel comfortable no matter how simple or complex a visit might be. The parent needs to feel at ease also, because sometimes they are more anxious then the child.
If you weren’t a pediatric dentist you’d be?
I always wanted to play professional baseball.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to spend time with my wife and kids and go on random adventures in the northeast. Golfing, riding my lawn mower and deep sea fishing are other hobbies.
